Insurance Gives a Sense of Security

Before I had children I didn't life insurance wasn't high on my list of priorities.  I always had insurance through my employment but any extra was not considered important to me at that time.  I remember a conversation I had with my parents where they asked if I wanted to take over an affordable life insurance policy they had on me since I was a child.  Being 19, I was startled when I heard this but in reality, it was a smart decision.  God forbid you think of your children ever passing on but there are those cases where accidents or illness happen and the last thing you need to worry about is burial costs in your time of mourning.  If anything ever happened to my husband or I, I can be assured that our children will not have to worry about debts or burial costs.  Life insurance is our families last piece of the puzzle, much like a security blanket.

Often Hubs and I see "Pre-Plan" signs are town.  I have always just thought we are too young for that but recently I have been thinking more about it.  Realistically Hubs works in a dangerous job as an Electrician; he takes all precautions of course but there is always the chance that someone else could be careless and cost him his life.

Not too long ago my grandmother had told me she had purchased her burial plot as part of her late stage plans.  I don't like to think of my grandmother passing on but I do know that it will happen sooner than later, given her heart condition.  The most important thing is that her mind is at ease because she knows she has pre-planned for her passing and does not have to worry about her family having to make the preparations after she's gone.  The family does not feel this as a burden of course but my grandmother certainly does and is too proud a woman to rely on anyone, even after her passing.
