How to Locate a Tweet or Facebook Post URL

Most of you probably know how to do this but for the new bloggers or anyone else who may not know I'm going to give your a quick tutorial how to find the URL's for a specific Twitter tweet or Facebook post.

Facebook
  1. Log in and bring up your Facebook wall.
  2. Locate the post you want to find the web address/link for.  Look for the date and time it was posted. I have circled where the date and time are located underneath the individual post, as you can see in the screen shot below.

3. Click the date and time and that individual post will come up on it's own screen.  The URL/link is in the web address bar at the top.  I have circled it here in the picture below.  Copy and paste this link.  You can do this for each wall post you would like a web address for.

Twitter
  1. Log in to Twitter and bring up your profile.
  2. Click on the Tweets page to view only your tweets. Look for the date and time it was tweeted below the tweet. I have circled where the date and time are located underneath the individual tweet, as you can see in the screen shot below.

3.  Click the date and time and that individual tweet will come up on it's own screen.  The URL/link is in the web address bar at the top.  I have circled it here in the picture below.  Copy and paste this link.  You can do this for each wall post you would like a web address for.

See, easy, at least it is once you know where to look! :)

Nice tutorial!

I've got one about how to make a button after Stacie had her bandwidth issues this past week.

I just shared it on my facebook page. Lots of people still don't know how easy this is to too. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments. I checked out your tutorial; it's great! I did know about the button hosting potentially being a problem. The problem I have is that in the beginning you want the "links in" and the easiest way to do this is that grab code. When you start getting too many this definitely can become an issue. I guess it's at what point do you make the change, something you need to keep a close eye on.

Thanks for sharing the post on your page. I didn't know how to do this for a long time either until someone told me. Once you have seen where to find it, it's too easy.
