We don't get to the beach that often but the kids do enjoy their "sandbox talk" from time to time at the in-laws place.  When all the cousins get together there never seems to be enough toys to go around for sand play.  I'm sure I don't need to explain to you how excited all the kids were when I brought out this cute set of sand play toys by Melissa and Doug.  The toys themselves are all made from a sturdy plastic material in vibrant colors.

Luckily there were enough toys to go around and to keep the kids busy.  They all had their favorites but they were more than willing to trade and share with each other so that they could try all the toys individually.  The Seaside Sidekicks Sand Baking and Cupcake sets were a hit with the girls; they used mud for icing (premixed in the baking set) and topped each sand cupcake off with rock details.  The boys were all about mud and squishing their mudpies into the molds.  Each seemed to equally have a good time.  Personally my favorite is the crab bucket, it looks so cute!
